Are you a developer in heart and soul and do you like to work with new techniques? Then this is the vacancy for you!
This is not your average jem-id vacancy. We are developing the Floriday platform in collaboration with Royal FloraHolland, the cooperative for floricultural growers. For this platform we are looking for software developers who want to learn from the jem-id professionals and then move on to the tech team of Royal FloraHolland. This traineeship at jem-id will vary from 2 - 3 years, depending on your level and personal development. A unique opportunity to learn the tricks from our Floriday experts, so that you can use your knowledge for the Royal FloraHolland tech team. Do you seize the opportunity to further digitize the floriculture sector through technical innovations?
We work with the latest (front and back-end) techniques such as Angular, React, REST APIs and .NET Core (C#). We also work with services such as Kafka and Amazon Web Services. You will work in a young team in which you do everything together to make Floriday better. Via video calls you can discuss new functionalities with your (Royal FloraHolland) colleagues and with Trello you keep an eye on the planning.
We are a young and ambitious team with a lot of freedom and responsibility. We are a flat organization, so we have no bosses. Okay, we know one boss: the customer. In the first few years you will work in a product team with which you put a product on the market together and continuously improve it. Furthermore, we have plenty of flexible worksplaces, unlimited days off and it is possible to work flexibly from home. In addition, jem-id is known for their fun getaways. Because besides the hard work, there is also time for relaxation.
P.S. Lunch is provided daily, including snack on Fridays.
At 9 am you are ready for the stand-up with your team. You tell us what you have planned for that day and ask if a fellow developer has a space for you later to discuss a new functionality for Floriday. A new week has started again, so plenty of work to do!
After lunch you have scheduled an appointment with a fellow developer and you discuss your new idea for Floriday. Fortunately, you share the same vision, and after an hour you came up with a nice plan.
After the appointment you immediately start programming and you end up completely in the flow. You look at the clock, it's that late again? Time to go home!
